Under PPP User Name and Password

Enter username and password as given below which you got from you service provider.

Select Session established by:Either Always Online or

Dial on Demand with idle time out ( select your own time ) as you can see its 5 min for me.

Disconnect if no activity for minutes.

Under

WAN IP Settings

Select Obtain an IP address automatically

Select Enable NAT




ZTE_ ZXDSL_831_SERIES_ADSL_Router_Connection_Type

For Internet Connection Type

Select Protocol “PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)”

Select Encapsulation Mode LLC/SNAP

STEP THREE


Click on the ADD button



Under ATM PVC

Enter the number as shown below

0 for VPI

35 for VCI

Under Service Category

Select “UBR without PCR”

Now go to Advance from top menu

Select WAN under Internet Connection Configuration

As you can see in the image there are three settings

And two of them are editable one is set default

pppoe_0_35 (0-35 is used for PPPOE PPP over Ethernet /Multiple Login)

ipoa_1_39 (Adsl Modem Router Default setting non editable)

br_0_32 (0-32 is used for bridging mode)

What you have to do is to add the first one that is 0 -35 automatic mode

STEP ONE

LOgin to Your ZTE ZXDSL Router

Now open you internet browser and open the following IP address or click on the link

http://192.168.1.1 (default Adsl Router / Modem IP )


You will see a POP up windows asking for username and password




Enter the default username : admin and password : admin



This is the way how your router web page look like
